ELECTRICAL SAFETY · PDF

PAT inspection & test record

1 September 2026

Ian has completed a PAT testing course, owns a PAT tester and uses it regularly.

The explanatory wording has been updated. The recorded testing table, dates and N/A entries are unchanged.

Open PAT record (PDF, opens in a new tab)

This is DISCOAGOGO’s equipment record, not certification of your venue’s electrical installation. Please tell Ian about any equipment-specific requirements or additional evidence you need.

RAMS · WORKING TOGETHER

Join up the safety paperwork.

We have a risk assessment and method statement (RAMS).

Please send us a copy of your venue’s master risk assessment and any supplier requirements. We can add the DJ-specific risks and controls and agree the event-specific arrangements with you.

Our supplier assessment complements your master assessment; it does not replace it.

A SMOOTH ARRIVAL. A GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP.

The details worth sharing early.

Every room is different. Send the relevant details below with your venue pack so we can agree the setup before the day—not improvise around it when guests arrive.

The room & setup position

Which room or outdoor area, the proposed DJ position, available space, stage or floor details, and any changes between the ceremony, meal and evening. We will confirm the footprint for the chosen setup rather than assume one size fits every venue.

Access, unloading & parking

Loading entrance, access times, steps or lifts, carrying distance and supplier parking. Let Ian know if a vehicle registration or crew list is required; those details can be shared privately for the booking.

Power & cable routes

Available supply locations and any venue requirements. Tell us about long cable routes, outdoor working or generator supplies in advance so suitable arrangements and responsibilities can be agreed with the venue or its electrical contractor.

Setup, soundcheck & finish times

Earliest access, room turnaround, soundcheck window, guest arrival, key announcements, music start, music-off time and when equipment must be removed. Setup and pack-down access need agreeing as well as the performance times.

Sound limits & the venue’s system

Any sound limiter, its operating conditions and location, volume restrictions, curfew, or requirement to connect to a venue sound system. Please send these details early so the proposed setup can be checked for compatibility.

Induction, emergencies & site rules

Who is in charge on the day, supplier induction, fire exits, evacuation arrangements, first aid and any restricted areas. Share relevant site hazards with the master risk assessment, including any arrangements needed to keep cable routes and emergency access clear.

Lighting & effects restrictions

Tell us about restrictions on bright or flashing lighting, haze, smoke, confetti or other effects. Any proposed effect must be agreed in advance; a booking does not automatically include it or authorise its use.

Your forms, deadlines & on-the-day contact

Send your supplier questionnaire, required document format, submission deadline and named venue contact. If you need an unredacted insurance certificate or further equipment details, ask Ian directly.

LET’S HELP COUPLES & HOSTS FIND YOU

Would you like your venue
to be featured?

Our venue pages help people picture their wedding, party or celebration. We would love to hear about your space.

Send your venue name, public address, official website, the celebrations you host and any photographs you are authorised to share. Already listed? Send us your corrections or updates.

We will confirm the details, image permissions and credits before publishing. A feature does not imply an exclusive or preferred-supplier relationship, and we only describe events we have actually worked at.
